# About the Feature League

One feature at a time: what it does, how many EU laws apply to it and what follows for design and code. For people who build websites and apps.

## What it is

Breakdowns of website and app features, 3 so far. Each one has a working preview, the laws that apply, the questions to ask and what to watch in UX and code. Next to it an AI agent talks your feature through with you.

## What it is not

Legal advice. A breakdown describes the usual form of a feature. Yours may look different, and then different rules may apply. The agent gives no legal opinions either.

## Who writes it

Mgr. Karel Navrátil, attorney-at-law and frontend designer, registered with the Czech Bar Association under no. 21034. He has been in law for over ten years and in frontend and design even longer. He writes the Feature League as someone who builds websites and apps himself.

## How laws are counted

EU regulations and directives and Czech acts that apply to the usual form of the feature. App Store and Google Play rules are counted separately, they are not law. Dates are checked against primary sources and every breakdown shows when it was last updated.

## The agent

The AI agent asks what you are building and compares it with the breakdown. Its answers are generated by AI (Claude by Anthropic, or Llama on Cloudflare Workers AI when Claude is unavailable) and may be inaccurate. Conversations stay in your browser tab and are not stored on the server. Do not send it personal, sensitive or confidential data.

## Binding assessment

When you need to know whether your feature is fine, write to Karel. That is a legal service with its own contract, not part of this website.

## FAQ

The short answers are here. Ask the agent about the rest.

### What is the Feature League?

Breakdowns of one website or app feature after another: a chatbot, a cookie banner, a newsletter, sign-in, subscriptions. For each I show how many EU laws typically apply, what to ask and how to turn the obligations into UX and code. [All features](https://featureleague.com/en/features)

### Is it legal advice?

No. It is a general explanation for developers, designers and product people, meant to show what to think about. Your feature may look different from the one in the breakdown. When you need a binding assessment, write to me as an attorney. [Write to Karel](https://featureleague.com/en/about#kontakt)

### Who is behind the Feature League?

Karel Navrátil, an attorney-at-law registered with the Czech Bar Association and a frontend designer. I write the Feature League as someone who builds websites and apps himself. [About](https://featureleague.com/en/about)

### How is the number of laws counted?

I count the EU laws and Czech acts that apply to the usual form of that feature. App Store and Google Play rules are counted separately, they are not law. The number is indicative: the exact list depends on what your feature does, for whom and at what scale. [Laws](https://featureleague.com/en/laws)

### What can the agent next to a feature do?

It talks through the design and development of the feature with you: it asks what you are building, compares it with the breakdown and shows where to focus. The answers are generated by AI and may be inaccurate. Do not send it personal or sensitive data. It gives no legal opinion, that is what Karel is for.
